Andrews woman killed in crash along E. Loop 338

Odessa Police say the woman failed to yield the right of way when her car was hit.

ODESSA, Texas — UPDATE

Odessa Police say an Andrews woman was killed in a crash in Northeast Odessa Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 4:30 pm at the East Loop 338 and JBS Parkway intersection.

Police say Laura Burris, of Andrews, was trying to turn left onto East Loop 338 from JBS Parkway. The investigation shows she failed to yield the right of way and hit by a Dodge Ram.

Burris was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver of the Dodge truck was sent to Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Odessa police are on the scene of a deadly traffic accident on JBS Parkway and Northeast Loop 338.

The accident has closed the southbound lanes of JBS. Drivers should find another route until the scene is cleared.

There is no word at this time on the nature of the crash or how many people were killed or injured.
