Wrong-way driver killed, another motorist injured in wreck on I-30 in Fort Worth

A wrong-way driver was killed Wednesday morning and another motorist was injured in a crash on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth, Fort Worth police said.
The name of the wrong-way driver has not been released by authorities. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to a MedStar official.
The wreck was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30.
Fort Worth police officers reported seeing the wrong-way motorist driving west in the eastbound lanes of I-30 near Riverside Drive.
Seconds later, authorities put out a citywide broadcast on the wrong-way driver.
Several motorists and Fort Worth police also reported seeing the wrong-way driver going west in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Before the crash, the wrong-way driver narrowly missed a MedStar ambulance and a Fort Worth patrol car.
The eastbound lanes of I-30 were closed for more than three hours Wednesday morning as authorities investigated the fatal crash.
