Police have identified a woman who died after investigators say she crashed on Saturday into the back of an 18-wheeler that had stalled on Interstate 35 in North Austin.
Allison Hollingshead Banks, 34, died from her injuries two days after the crash, which happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 9800 block of North Interstate 35, police said.
Anyone with information about this case should call the Austin police vehicular homicide unit at 512-974-4278.
Banks was the 80th person to die from an Austin crash this year, police said. At this time in 2018, 72 people had so far died on the city’s roads.
