Magician Valdino killed in San Marcos wreck

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local magician who went by the stage name of Valdino is being mourned today.

Valdino, whose real name was Orlando Valdez, was killed in a traffic accident near San Marcos early Thursday morning.

Valdez and a passenger were fatally injured when their vehicle was hit by a dump truck.

As Valdino, Orlando Valdez became known for his performances and balloon art that benefited local charities and non-profits.

A GoFundMe account has been established to help with funeral expenses.
