Fatal Crash Will Have Freeway Closed for Several Hours

Fatal crash halts all traffic on the freeway.

Houston, TX: This afternoon at around 2:30 p.m., units from Houston Fire and Houston Police responded to a report of a crash at I-610 East Loop SB at the Ship Channel Bridge.

When crews arrived, they found a crash that was blocking the left lanes of the freeway. Both vehicles appeared to have major damage.

One of the involved parties in the accident was declared deceased at the scene by Houston Fire personnel.

Houston Police Vehicle Crimes investigators are on the scene, all SB lanes of the freeway are expected to remain closed for several hours. Please find alternative routes.
