DPS identifies man killed in a crash

HOWARD COUNTY, Tx. (KOSA) -- One person was killed in a crash west of Big Spring on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as Troy Hogue, 37, of Clifton, Texas.

According to DPS, their troopers responded to a crash on I-20 eight miles west of Big Spring at 3:04 a.m.

When troopers arrived at the scene they found a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a Dodge Caravan.

The driver of the Caravan, identified as Hogue, passed away at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt in the crash.

An investigation of the crash revealed that both vehicles were traveling west on the interstate.

According to DPS, Hogue failed to control his speed and crashed into the back of the 18-wheeler.
