18-wheelers collide, shut down local highway

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - A crash involving two 18-wheelers closed down a stretch of a Central Texas highway Monday morning.

The Department of Public Safety responded to the crash at around 6 a.m. Monday on State Highway 95 at Briggs Road south of Killeen.

The accident closed the northbound lanes of the highway.

One driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The DPS said it appears that one of the 18-wheelers pulled in front of the other in the morning fog.
