UPDATE:Overnight crash kills one person in Temple, victim identified

TEMPLE, Texas- Temple Police have identified the victim of a fatal accident that occured February 8th.

The victim, 22-year-old Miguel Berumen, was driving at an excess speed when he struck another vehicle from behind. He then lost control and was ejected from his vehicle.

No other injuries were reported.

Temple police are investigating an overnight crash that killed one man.

The crash involved a pickup truck and a small sized car on southbound S. General Bruce Drive near South 57th street.

Police officers closed the roads while they investigated and the scene was cleared.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time. Police are also not talking about what caused the crash.
