SOMERVILLE, Tex. (KBTX) - State troopers say a Bryan man died Friday after the semi-truck he was driving was hit by a train in Burleson County.
Anthony James Jones, 51, was crossing the tracks when his truck was struck by a northbound train at County Road 423 and Taylor Road north of Somerville, investigators said.
The semi was hauling railroad ties when the collision occurred, but the train was not derailed and no other injuries were reported.
Crews from BSNF were dispatched to the scene to help clear the debris and crossing.
The crash remains under investigation.
